Tabletop and Miniature Games
Hi, these are the Tabletop Miniatures Games that we play here in our local group. If you click on the link before the description you will be sent to our page for that game which includes everything from scenarios and campaign information to useful links to other websites and resources.
BattleTech - Battletech is a game set in the 31st to 32nd Century. It is arguably one of the oldest running skirmish games out there. The Game system itself can be intimidating but once you are immersed in the atmosphere and your imagination gets running those 2 inch tall minis become 10 meter tall gods of war. We all play this to some extent and our ranks even include a Catalyst Games Labs Demo Agent who runs our campaigns and sets up our games.
Warhammer 40K - Warhammer 40,000, or 40K for short, is a futuristic dystopia in which humanity is beset on all sides by the threat of alien invasion to the destruction of humanity, and maybe existance as we know it, through the power of the chaos gods who thrive on raw emotion. The game itself is on its 6th edition. We have several players and enjoy casual play.
Warmachine and Hordes - These two are lumped in together because of the fact that they almost share an entire rules set and they are designed to interact with each other. While not as large scale as Warhammer 40K and not as intricate as BatleTech; Warmachine and Hordes play at more of a skirmish level and are very much oriented towards tournament play.
X-Wing Miniatures Game - The X-Wing Miniatures game is something we have only recently gotten into. The game uses a system called the Flight Path system which gives the game a very unique and fluid feel that you usually dont get from a miniatures game. The game is also extremely easy to learn and can be played both competitively and casually with equal satisfaction.
